Bainbridge Rock Academy gives young people the chance to spend a week learning how to play in a band and make new friends. With the guidance of trained, experienced tutors, we help you learn your favourite songs and write new songs as a band.

The week begins with students being divided into bands. Then we find similar musical tastes between all the band members and some songs that everyone would like to learn.
 

After a few days learning songs and jamming, we move down to the recording studio to lay down some tracks with our experienced record producer, as well as getting a lesson on how to nail a great vocal track from Edinburgh’s top singing teacher.

Finally the bands showcase their talent with a gig for family and friends to round off the week.

The Easter course runs from 9th to 13th April 2012, between 10am and 4pm each day.

The course is open to all secondary school pupils, and is for anyone who has even a basic ability at a musical instrument and wants to play in a band. This week is a great way to show the students how great it can be playing in a band, because that's what playing music is all about!
